  Jared von Kamp

  Associate Pastor

Jared has been our youth and music guy since January 2014.  He was born and raised somewhere near a cornfield in Ohio, and then went to college in Akron, where he met and married a girl from Pittsburgh.  Jared and Becca have been married since 2004.  They have three children, two of which are twins.

Jared has a Bachelor of Music degree in euphonium performance from the University of Akron, with a minor in philosophy (you know, to make the music degree extra useful).  He also has an Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.  Musically, in addition to the euphonium, Jared also studied singing extensively, enjoys directing a choir, and is just adequately skilled enough at strumming a guitar to not embarrass himself when leading worship.

Mostly, Jared is a big nerd who enjoys making charts, reading books, watching cartoons with the kids, and torturing his wife with bad puns.
