Header-Worship

Every church is made up of a diverse group of people. This is a reflection of what worship will be like in heaven where people from every tribe, tongue, and nation will gather before the throne of God. Here at FCC, we strive to prepare for that end by serving the broad range of people that come to our service.

We are blessed to have people from a variety of ages, social positions, economic backgrounds, and races that worship with us. Rather than separate based on our differences in background or preference, we strive to come together based on our unity in Christ. Because of this, our music is a blended style that seeks to enable every person to connect with God in worship, while still following the pattern of worship laid out for us in scripture. (You can see an example of a typical service here)

In order to reach this goal in every service of worship, our ministry is centered around these three principles:

  • God-Centered Worship: God, being the highest Being, deserves and demands our worship. Our response to Him, both privately and corporately, is humble, God-exalting worship. This worship is centered around the truths of the Gospel.

  • Biblical Text: All texts used in the worship service must be in complete agreement with scripture. These texts must be used for the purposes of teaching and lifting the affections towards our God.

  • Transgenerational Style: Our style of worship must be one that is inviting and not offensive. Therefore we will avoid the extremes of any style and seek to prefer one another in worship as we use a variety of styles and instruments in an excellent manner, offering our gifts to the Lord.
